All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other. Reviewers are identified internally using Greek letters for reference throughout the review process.
Reviewers should provide constructive and substantive feedback focused on the scientific validity, methodology, and originality of the manuscript. Please avoid commenting on spelling, grammar, punctuation, or formatting—these aspects are handled during the editorial and copyediting stages.
Authors are required to suggest at least one potential reviewer when submitting their manuscript. In addition, QOLAC Medicine invites a minimum of two independent reviewers from its internal panel, ensuring that all reviewers possess appropriate scientific expertise. All suggested reviewers are carefully vetted before being contacted.
A minimum of two completed reviews from QOLAC Medicine–invited reviewers is required before an editorial decision can be made.
All submissions are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. If a manuscript is flagged, it is referred to the editorial board for further investigation in accordance with the journal’s ethical review procedures.
